All I did was sand and stain the wood with Poly Shades Bombay Mahogany and put Toile scrapbook paper in the label slots.

This post should probably be titled the day I almost peed my pants in public. It was my day off and I have stumbled upon this place online called UW SWAP. Basically its a warehouse location that sells all the old furniture, maps and materials from the University of Madison. I walked around for about 15 minutes before I found him facing backwards on a shelf! I couldn’t find a price tag so I asked one of the warehouse guys walking by and he said “oh how about 10 bucks”. When I went to pay the checkout lady rolled her eyes when I told her that the guy said it was $10. ( probably because they have online auctions for most of the card catalogs and they sell for $300 +) Pretty sure I skipped out of that place like I was easter bunny.
He is going to be a side table in the living room. More pictures to come!
Upgrade ya!
I have been wearing the bajeebies out my Rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Marc Turnlock Katie Bracelet (Purchased Here) and the edges are becoming tarnished. I decided it needed a upgrade.
All I needed was scissors and emroidery floss. I looked through a bunch of colors and the blue and green with the rose gold looked the best.
I cut about 2 yards of 3 pieces and doubled them up. So I dd 2 of the blue and one of the green. To start I looped them through one end and started wrapping it around the outside and through each slot.
Once at the end I looped it on through and came back on the other side.
Once I got to the other end I tied a knot ( I would tell you how but I dont have a clue what I did)
And here she is!
